Program Sequence

Day 1 - Udawalawe

Udawalawe Morning Safari

Early morning drive to one of the most beautiful places to see large herds of elephants roaming freely in their natural habitats. It is also home to 184 species of birds, 43 species of mammals, 33 species of reptiles and other fascinating wildlife.

Elephant Transit Home

After a three-hour safari, you will be driven to Udawalawe "Elephant Transit Home" where you can watch baby elephants being fed milk. This works in conjunction with the Born Free Foundation (GB). Here, orphaned or sick elephants are fed and cared for until they are strong enough to be returned to the wild. Behind a barrier, you can watch the elephants walking behind a zookeeper across the grounds where they are fed milk through tubes, stamping and trumpeting with impatience.

Then you will go to Yala where you will spend the night.

Day 2 - Yala

Yala National Park

The next morning you will head to leopard country! It is the second largest and most visited of all national parks in Sri Lanka. Its diverse ecosystems provide favorable habitats for a large population of leopards, recognized as the highest density of leopards in the world. In addition, there are elephants, sloth bears, monkeys, 215 species of birds and other interesting wildlife. After a three-hour safari, return to your Hotel.

Galle Dutch Fort

On the way back to your hotel, you will have the opportunity to observe the centuries-old tradition of stilt fishing, the Dutch fort of Galle, the Tsunami Museum and the Moonstone Mine at Meetiyagoda.

Real people, real experiences

Wie sie es erlebt haben

Our journey in Sri Lanka began with a warm welcome from "Papa Tony," who greeted us at the airport with a personalized sign displaying our family name. It was a lovely touch to start our trip. Although we only met him once, he left a positive impression.
For the rest of our time, we were guided by his son, "Little Tony," who led us on some fantastic excursions, including the Yala Safari, Madu River Safari, and a few smaller outings. Tony's knowledge of Sri Lanka, its wildlife, and sacred sites was impressive, and he made each experience both educational and enjoyable.
What made the tours truly special was Tony's humble and personal approach. His passion for the island's beauty was clear in everything he did. He was always flexible, making sure our needs were met and staying available via Messenger, which made coordinating very easy.
The large, comfortable van was a great plus, especially considering the busy traffic in Sri Lanka. It made traveling between sites much more relaxed.
I highly recommend Tony's services to anyone looking for a meaningful and insightful experience in Sri Lanka. Beyond just seeing the sights, we gained a deeper understanding of the island's culture and nature thanks to his guidance. - Niclas
